Maurice Marie Émile Leblanc (1864 – 1941) là nhà văn người Pháp nổi tiếng với nhân vật kẻ trộm Arsène Lupin, vốn được đánh giá là sánh ngang với loạt truyện Sherlock Holmes của tác giả người Anh Arthur Conan Doyle. Khởi đầu nghiệp văn bằng các tiểu thuyết “chính thống” được giới phê bình đánh giá cao, nhưng các tác phẩm của Maurice Leblance không đem lại thành công về thương mại. Chỉ đến khi Arsène Lupin xuất hiện trên chuyên mục truyện nhiều kì của tạp chí Je Sais Tout vào năm 1905, thành công và danh tiếng mới đến với Maurice Leblance. Ông đã được trao Huân chương Bắc đẩu bội tinh cho những đóng góp trong văn học của mình.
